They have to pay, using the Atoms they get from the subscription.Let's get this out of the way. I do not work for Bethesda. Please, please read my other posts. This has been covered many times.

I simply leak things in MMOGs that I find interesting. So this will be my last post for a while. I just can't deal with all the anger, hate, and other issues people are sending my way. I do this for fun, and some of you make it hell.

I have a few leakers that tell me things on the condition that I don't reveal who they are. That is all. To think or believe anything else, is moronic.

So to answer the #1 question I have been getting - no, not all new things will be given to Fallout 1st members free or charge. There will be Fallout 1st exclusive items that you have to spend Atoms on.

Yes, that means there will be exclusive items that Fallout 1st subscribers get to purchase for Atoms.

As of now, even vaulted items are being considered, as well as plenty of new gear. They are even discussing a "try it first" program, where Fallout 1st players get to buy things before anyone else.

Fallout 1st will have a trial eventually. Right now a week long trial is planned, although that could change. This trial is not coming for some time, since the overall subscription sales have been excellent. In regular Bethesda fashion this has already been given away as the "test entitlements" issue became known.

Finally, there is an internal memo going around Bethesda condemning this site and a few YouTubers for "fanning the flames". Staff are told not to speak to anyone without HR having the final say. Seems like they are taking the BioWare approach to handling their game when it comes to communication.

I am still told that the community has a lot of impact on how Fallout 76 turns out, so don't quite down and let them get away with whatever they wish, otherwise full P2W may be on the way. In fact, Bethesda will be introducing a few items that they consider "borderline" in the next few months. If the community remains quite about these pay to win utility items, Bethesda will just keep going.
The power is in your hands. Speak with your wallets or accept whatever they deem appropriate.

Expect an update to Fallout 1st to make it even more "attractive". Another quick Fallout 76 update.

Fallout 1st subscriptions continue to exceed expectations, especially the 1 month sub statistics. They are now actively looking at changing the bonus outfit every few months to keep people interested. Those that subscribed for a year would get every outfit as it becomes available.

Bethesda is also looking at other ways to increase year long subscriptions. More "utility" items may be coming to Fallout 1st, as well as some sort of "subscriber rewards program", and a few ideas of additional "unique subscriber only benefits" are being tossed around.

Finally, more "utility" items are coming to the Atomic Shop. They are checking Reddit and "other communities" to see what people want, and will be trying to "fit it in".

Cross play was briefly brought up and shut down internally. It is very unlikely that it will happen. PC is the culprit here. A console only cross play idea was floating around, however my source does not know what became of it. I am told to not expect cross play of any kind unless the community really pushes for it, and even then - it is highly unlikely due to the work involved.

Fallout 76 will be missing its 2019 Steam debut, which was supposed to occur with the launch of Wastelanders. It is still coming to the platform, and will launch along side or shortly after Wastelanders.
It could have all been avoided if they just stuck to the original plan.A quick and short update today.

So I won't be writing much about what Fallout 1st is and how it came about, but what I will say is that Bethesda was planning to release the subscription service in tandem with Wastelanders.
However, Wastelanders was delayed and Fallout 1st has been ready for a while, so the decision was made to "just launch the damn thing already".

The goal of Fallout 1st was to ensure that all future development for Fallout 76 is "self sufficient". What this means, is that Bethesda will be using the money it gets from Fallout 1st to fund all future content updates/fixes for Fallout 76.

The response on social media, Reddit, and gaming sites has been pretty negative, but internal metrics reveal that a "much larger than expected" amount of players bought the one month membership, with "a bit more than what we thought" amount of players buying the year long membership.

Right now, Bethesda is taking a "wait and see approach", and may change some features of Fallout 1st depending on how "big of a deal people make about it".
For now, they are busy fixing the bugs that Fallout 1st introduced and their continued work on Wastelanders (which I am told is shaping up to be "pretty frigging amazing").

From my short conversations with a few of the people at Bethesda, I got the impression that most are disappointed with the way Fallout 1st was launched and is being handled. Seems management is just being management yet again.

Very odd that so many people actually think that I have anything to do with EA or BioWare. I basically take what I hear (mostly from low level employees) and write it down in this blog. Sometimes I try to do some hacking if I hear a game did something really dumb (like placing too much trust client side). Nothing else.

I have no ability to fix bugs or get you compensation for anything, and to think any differently is a little absurd.
As you can see, I didn't even put the <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , "trebuchet" , "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px;">Got fails? - <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: right; white-space: nowrap;">mmogfails@gmail.com line at the end of my last post because of how many e-mails I was getting.

So if I do not respond to you, please don't write me an e-mail a few hours later threatening me... And then again a few hours hours later apologizing... Only to threaten me again a few hours later. This was an actual example from someone. Four e-mails in a span of ten hours, with some severe bipolar tones to it.
When things like this happen, it really just makes me want to stop leaking, and makes me feel even worse for what the BioWare community folks have to deal with.

With that rant out of the way I can actually tell you that the topic of making things right with their early adopters was already brought up and quickly put down (by leadership). This will change if the game goes F2P and some compensation will be given to those that own the base game.

Here are some more answers to common questions that I saw in my inbox:

- Yes, the Cataclysm is a time gated, timed, and score based PQ-like event.
- A new map has been specifically designed for the event. The map will open up as the six week Cataclysm progresses. The map will then be "re-purposed" once the Cataclysm is over.
- Higher score = more currency rewards.
- You have to use currency earned to buy chests that contain loot. This is in addition to loot that will still be dropped. New leveled items will only be available in the chests for now. This may change during the Cataclysm.
- When the event is over, the new item levels will carry over to the base game.
- PTS is in fact coming to consoles. At least eventually. A lot of work went into getting it set up for the console already (on the PlayStation), and I doubt they will just discard it.
- The PTS will be a social experiment of sorts, and BioWare will in fact take the recommendations made by these players to heart. So be civil and play nice. You actually have a chance to improve the game.

- With luck removed, MOST players will now have a much higher chance of getting Masterwork and Legendary items. Yes, this equates to better overall loot drops. Internal testing has shown this change almost doubled the speed in Legendary item acquisition and almost tripled the Masterwork item acquisition for the AVERAGE player.
Those that were running luck builds before, will still be impacted by this change because all GM difficulties across the board had a slight increase to purple drops (and above). Factoring in the luck change, more purples = more Masterwork and Legendary items FOR ALL.

- The communication embargo has been lessened. BioWare and EA want to hype up the Cataclysm (trust me, this is a good thing, keep an eye on SM). As long as players aren't hostile to them, I don't see a reason as to why they would not keep communicating.
I said this multiple times already, but please have some decency towards these people.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them. Otherwise more leaks as I get them. Oh and cut it out with the demands and threats please. It's getting really old now.

A lot of you are e-mailing me pleading for information. Since BioWare is giving you nothing with their stupid communications embargo, I will provide.

As I previously said, EA and BioWare are not giving up on Anthem. Not yet at least. These guys brought SWTOR back from the brink of extinction, and they may do it for Anthem as well. EA is very confident in BioWare's ability to fix the game.

Other than some utterly stupid leadership decisions on BioWare's end, things are progressing.

Right now (no, really literally right now, simultaneously in crunch mode) they are working on the following:

- Bug fixes
- QoL improvements
(A patch with both bug fixes and QoL improvements is ready but is being held back to allow for at least some new content).
- Multiple new strongholds
- A stat screen
- Cataclysm
- Mastery System replacement (I am told it may or not be called the Mastery System)
- Guilds
- Leaderboards
- New story
- New lore
- New Freeplay content
- New missions
- New challenges
- New enemies
- New loot system
- Balance changes
- Yes, new Javelin ideas are being tossed around. The team is NOT yet working on new Javelins.
- A pilot level increase is being discussed

Probably more that I am forgetting.

To be fair, a lot of the items were already at least partially completed, but better late than never.

As you can see, this is stretching them fairly thin. To the point where multiple low level employees told me they wish they could focus on just one or two things.

The next few months will be pretty interesting for the game. Where it goes from there, is anyone's guess.

Side note: Yes, the BioWare and EA are aware there are things that won't be met on the current May road map (all of them), however management decided to keep this page as is instead of updating it.

MMOG Failshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15807077581599451436noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1234267260728698059.post-59236804641030163062019-05-24T08:51:00.000-07:002019-05-24T10:48:54.618-07:00BioWare leadership is out of touch with their customers, fans, and most importantly - their employees.I had a chance to catch up with someone from BioWare. This is the same person that told me about Anthem finally looking promising after years of being stuck in indecision limbo.

This is more venting than anything else, but it does not paint a good picture of the still out of touch leadership. I will just list some bullet point takeaways without my usual commentary.

- SWTOR and Anthem are now handled by virtually one team and there is competition for resources.

- The SWTOR expansion is not in good shape at this time and management's expectations are too high.

- While Onslaught is a large expansion, it is still not (and will not be) on the same level as Rise of the Hutt Cartel.

- Onslaught and Anthem are both in the crunch phase as leadership wants to recapture the old BioWare Magic.

- SWTOR has a lot more active players than Anthem. The numbers are not even remotely comparable.

- BioWare leadership wants to rekindle interest in SWTOR.

- Anthem player base is at an all time low even though this month saw an influx of new players.

- Anthem has issues with player retention. This is something they are very interested and motivated in improving.

- BioWare leadership is unhappy with the Onion articles. They feel the game is being mocked unjustly.

- BioWare leadership thinks not talking about Anthem is working wonders, as negative comments about the game have decreased across all forms of social media.

- Leadership also thinks that everything the Kotaku article exposed can be fixed with team building excersises and events.

- The live team is very unhappy and disappointed about missing deadlines and breaking promises to their fans. They are also unhappy with how leadership is choosing to deal with it.

- A patch with QoL improvements and fixes is ready but is being held back by leadership because they want at least some content in it. New content will most likely be dropping with said patch, as well as in the next few weeks.

- Expect nothing on Anthem's May road map to be completed this month.

Enough with the death threats please. Oh and no, Anthem will NOT be at E3.

So, I am not entirely sure why my Anthem post is getting so much hate. I simply write about what I hear in the gaming industry, with a bit of my own sarcasm thrown in for good measure.

The blog is not monetized and it never will be. I am doing this just to track all the issues with the industry as a whole, especially when it comes to MMO games.

I have been doing this for quite a while now but never received so many outright vicious e-mails.

Let me share one with you, as it is my favorite so far. Not quite a death threat, more like a death wish, and a funny one at that. Obviously written by a preteen fan of the game that also likes to watch YouTube videos and take them at their word.

To keep in line with the letter, I am going to use ALL CAPS SO IT LOOKS LIKE I AM YELLING.

FIRST OF ALL, EA AS A WHOLE WILL NOT BE AT E3 (SOME GAMES WILL BE SHOWN, BUT NOT ANTHEM). I AM NOT SURE WHY SO MANY OF YOU ARE TELLING ME EA WILL BLOW US ALL AWAY AT E3 WITH LOTS OF ANTHEM NEWS. THIS IS 100% FALSE.

INSTEAD, THEY WILL HAVE AN EA PLAY EVENT ON JUNE 8TH AND 9TH THAT WILL ALLOW PEOPLE TO TRY OUT THEIR NEWEST AND CURRENT GAMES.

THE MAIN FOCUS WILL BE EA'S OTHER OFFERINGS WITH ONLY MINOR UPDATES AND PROMISES FOR ANTHEM.

LOTS OF "CONTENT CREATORS" WILL BE SHOWCASING EA'S GAMES IN A "LIVE STREAM EXTRAVAGANZA".

I SPOKE TO A FEW PEOPLE AT EA AND MORE THAN ONE VOICED ACTUAL CONCERNS OVER THE EXPECTATIONS PEOPLE HAVE FOR ANTHEM AT EA PLAY.

IN FACT, SOMEONE FAMILIAR WITH WHAT IS BEING PLANNED RIGHT NOW FOR AT LEAST A FEW OF THE GAMES, ANTHEM INCLUDED (THIS CAN ALWAYS CHANGE) SAYS "NOTHING THAT WAS NOT ALREADY ON THE ROAD MAP WILL BE SHOWN".

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.

SIDE NOTE. THE PEOPLE AT BIOWARE ARE STILL HARD AT WORK ON FIXING THINGS AND ARE GETTING A PATCH READY (MOSTLY FIXES), HOWEVER IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN SUBMITTED YET, SO IT WILL NOT BE READY THIS WEEK. THERE IS ALSO TALK OF HOLDING IT BACK UNTIL SOME CONTENT CAN BE INTRODUCED WITH IT, AS THE LAST PATCH WAS "VERY POORLY RECEIVED".

<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , "trebuchet" , "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px;">Got fails? - <span style="background-color: white; color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: right; white-space: nowrap;">mmogfails@gmail.com

MMOG Failshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15807077581599451436noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1234267260728698059.post-58859853812150734692019-05-13T08:41:00.002-07:002019-05-13T16:34:03.817-07:00Anthem is coming to EA Access and free to play is still on the table. The game sold almost 3.7 million copies!Just a few small nuggets of information from a source within EA.

Anthem should be coming to EA Access around or slightly after the time the service will release for the PS4.

I was also told that the leadership at BioWare is actually blaming the players (their customers) and the "vitriol" they spew as the reason of why the game is not selling as well as it should.
They are also blaming EA for saying the game can be patched later because of the GaaS model. Neither EA nor BioWare expected the push back and hostility they received for delivering a product in such an unfinished state while selling it for full price.

In a bit of surprising news, Anthem sold pretty well, almost 3.7 million copies between digital and physical.

EA is still very committed to the game because "it fills a gaping hole in our offerings". So if patching and EA Access do not give it a much needed boost, F2P is still very much on the table.
For now, BioWare is "working like mad" to try and fix bugs, bring QoL improvements, as well as new content.

Bonus news: a stat screen is in the works! Eventually you will be able to see all of your javelin's statistics in one place.
Don't expect an update from BioWare this week, other than "there is no update", and quite possibly "we still support Anthem, here is what our leadership says".
Please take it easy on Jesse Anderson. What he will (not) share is 100% completely not up to him. Blame management. He has had his hands tied and pretty much told to "shut up".

Now for some good news: a loot re-design is also in the works, however we should not expect it "any time soon".

Now is the perfect time to apply.Seems EA is already cleaning house, with plenty of careers suddenly opening up at BioWare.

There are also quite a few positions being shifted around internally, and a switch to free to play "has been mentioned more than once".

The Anthem team lost multiple leads, including Jonathan Warner (who was one of the main reasons Anthem was stuck in development limbo), Mark Darrah and Michael Gamble. It is currently being lead by Ben Irving.
I am told that Darrah (and other members of the Anthem team) were moved to work on Dragon Age 4, which has a while ago been rebooted from a single player focused RPG to Anthem with Dragons.

I am also hearing mixed and conflicting information about what EA is planning on doing with Anthem. One source says that it may be joining EA Access, another that it will receive free cosmetics with the service. Nothing is currently 100%, so I don't want to say more than that

The following positions are now available at the Austin branch:

Art
Department Director – Art & Animation (155183)
VFX Artist Contract (154851)

Game Design
Systems Designer II (155357)
Systems Designer I (155358)

Game Product Management
Senior Systems & Monetization Designer (155360)
Senior Game Product Manager (155123)
Product Director (152420)

Software Development
Platform Engineer (153455)

Things are not looking good for BioWare, with multiple people confirming that a "restructure" is most definitely happening, and that EA is placing the "whole Anthem mess" squarely on BioWare.

All current BioWare projects are being "looked at", as are the teams responsible.

All in all, this has not been a great week for the once beloved developer.

Even the developers think the game is a giant meme.Lots of you asking me questions about BioWare and what is happening there. I only have one source in the company, and they are a bit worried about outside contact at this time.

A recent internal memo told them to not talk to anyone unless they have something good to say, so I will respect that.
As you may recall from an article I wrote over a year ago, BioWare had management issues, I just didn't grasp how bad things truly were, and memos like that prove that nothing changed.

So one of the big things EA wanted from Anthem, was to make the game "Unmemeable". That didn't quite succeed, and is in itself a meme.

If you play Anthem, you probably already know about one of its main problems.
Basically, the running joke is that the loot system broken and there is no excitement when opening a chest.
Simply put: loot drops are generic junk with no fix in sight.
In a recent live stream of upcoming content, the developers themselves opened a chest, and one could be heard saying "<span style="background-color: white; color: #1a1a1b; font-family: "noto sans" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Open the chest and jump away from it."

So as you can see, the developers know too well that the loot is garbage, and the game is nothing but a giant meme. All of this is made even more troubling by the fact that Anthem's entire road map has been delayed indefinitely. One can't help but wonder how EA is feeling about all of this and what their reaction will be.

Yes, that's right. The launcher had incorrect information, and Bioware/EA is refusing to do anything about it. In fact, apparently any promotion offered due to a "bug, glitch, mistake", or that "was not authorized", will not be honored. Yep, EA can advertise whatever they want, and then claim it was a mistake/bug/whatnot, and get away scot-free.

I reached out to my source at Bioware, who has long been working on Anthem, and while I am assured that game is finally becoming quite promising (after years of limbo indecisions), I am also told that SWTOR has been all but abandoned.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has a very small team working on it. My source flat out stated that less than a "handful of developers are actively working on SWTOR", moreover they are "prioritizing money making opportunities over content and bug fixes".

Here is the real kicker. Bioware has everything riding on Anthem. If the game succeeds, Bioware will adapt to support it, abandoning everything other than their single player games. If it fails, Bioware will most likely be absorbed into EA, and SWTOR will be shut down.

No matter how you look at it, SWTOR is done for. If not now, then in 2019 when Anthem releases.
The one (somewhat) good thing I learned, is that Bioware/EA are also kicking around the idea of letting SWTOR run until the license expires. Having said that, there are also rumblings that Disney is not at all happy with EA at the moment, and is looking at Activision, Take-Two, and Ubisoft for future Star Wars games. My source was not sure how this would impact SWTOR.

A LOT of you have been e-mailing me about the Marvel Heroes shut down, so I stopped being lazy and reached out to a few sources.

First of all, I would like to thank my source, a former Gazillion employee that wishes to remain anonymous. Thank you for taking a risk and providing me with info on what really happened.

Now, since Brian (Asros) is currently contemplating getting a refund over the failed promises of Star Citizen, hopefully he gains an understanding of what his own customers went through.
BTW Brian, the issues you brought up with SC, where the exact concerns gamers had with MHO. Karma is a bitch, ain't it? Hey, why don't you call us entitled assholes once again, that seems to work out quite well. Oh and go work at EA already, they will greatly appreciate your talents there.

First of all, in May 2017, Gazillion thought they would have to shut down the PC version of Marvel Heroes due to a problem with the license. In fact, they had already lost the contract and were re-negotiating it while working on the console version of the game.
I verified this through both my source, and their official Discord server.

But it doesn't end there folks, my source tells me that Dave Dohrmann was one of a few people at Gazillion with a "golden parachute". What this means, is that this pedophile scumbag got out of the industry with quite a bit of cash.

Here he is telling people they secured a five year contract with Disney, when they were still negotiating. Yes, this is a BLATANT lie and false advertising, as they were still debating a few key points at this time. The contract did not get finalized until WEEKS after this video occurred.

Eventually, and after a severe public outcry, Disney took a closer look at Dave Dohrmann, and pulled the contract. This was 100% due to his escapades. MHO was doing fairly well at this point, and profits from console sales were above what they expected.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Microsoft contacted Gazillion almost immediately, and they worked out a refund deal for those on Xbox due to a contract stipulation, one that the PS4 did not have.

Weeks after it was known that Microsoft was issuing full refunds, PlayStation NA did a similar (although half-assed) refund, but only starting from 8/17/17. Sony was forced to provide reimbursement in other regions due to consumer protection laws, but was/is extremely resistant in NA. This was because Sony did not care enough to ensure their games stay active for at least a year, while Microsoft did.

Here is the real kicker. According to my source, Gazillion knew over a year ago that the contract was in jeopardy, and still kept selling goods/services through their marketplace.
If Gazillion was still around, this would have been a class action lawsuit, however, since the company went belly up, nothing can be done.

Your best bet as a consumer is to be extremely weary of free to play games on PlayStation, since Microsoft (Xbox) has a guarantee of such games lasting for at least a year, and Sony does not.

Edit: 12/9/17 - My source asked me to remove his nickname, and I fixed quite a few spelling errors. Typing a blog post on the phone isn't exactly great for proofreading :-).
Edit 2: Ugh so the screenshot I linked had the correct information, but I put down the wrong month in the post. I now fixed it to May, the correct month. Thank you all for pointing that out.
Gazillion in damage control mode silencing and banning those that bring up these issues. Shut down coming soon?I am getting quite a few Marvel Heroes Omega e-mail's. So many in fact, that I haven't had the time to sort through them all as of yet.

Seems like Gazillion Entertainment is trying to silence a lot of bug reports, which usually means the game is very buggy and hackable.

Let's start with some bugs.
For one, the vendor XP flat out breaks after level 10. You can max your vendors extremely fast, as going from level 10 to 20 (cap) takes less XP than going from level 9 to 10. (Courtesy of RobR81).
You can also (co-op) take another (low level) hero with you into your trial (even the cosmic one), and beat it without an issue as all enemies will be scaled to your average level. I had cosmic difficulty unlocked on my level 14 and 60 hero simultaneously. Obviously, this also bypasses the level 60 requirement for cosmic difficulty. (Courtesy of DD2).

On the hacking side, things are just as brutal. After only a few minutes of messing around with packet editing, I managed to get my Eternity Splinters and G's to whatever I wanted. (Courtesy of REMOVED). Here is my roster screen with most heroes open.

I spoke to my Gazillion source about this issue and was told that they are doing everything they can to stay afloat, so there you have it folks.
That's right, I am hearing some rumblings about a possible shutdown. If this console release does not hit it out of the ballpark, the game may be scrapped in favor of mobile offerings. The PC version is "long dead", and the consoles are their only hope.

All in all, this is a very buggy, poorly optimized & secured game. The threat of a shutdown is not helping either.
I had a lot more difficulty with Skyforge on the PS4 than this game, but then again, any company that is so eager to shut down their fans reporting issues is bound to be hiding something.

As always, if you got some more fails for me to look at - <span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: right; white-space: nowrap;">mmogfails@gmail.com
This works in NA and EU when it lags (which happens quite often). It does not work in Russia due to them having superior servers and less lag.

When the server lags to the point that you can open a single treasure chest multiple times before it disappears, you are ready to dupe (you actually sort of already did with the chest when you looted it twice).

Put up an item on the marketplace and cancel it. Do this as fast as possible. Keep doing it until you dupe. Keep a close eye on your inventory while you are working on this.
It took me quite a few attempts, but I was able to dupe multiple items. It is much easier to do this with some sort of macro software, but entirely possible by hand.

Now, since it lags - there are actually two (and a half) chances to dupe. One when you are putting up the item (just keep spamming the conformation), and one when are taking off the item (just keep spamming the conformation).
This is where the half comes in - if you get your item back, but you still see it listed for sale - DO NOT try to get it back, as it will just disappear. BUT if you let it sell, you will get your money and whoever buys it will get a perfectly legit copy of the item. So don't get greedy and pass the love around.

It does not look like each item is assigned a unique ID, as I was able to sell and/or use my dupes. The duped items do not disappear after logging off. The exception to this rule was trying to get an item back that was still up for sale after going back into my inventory. So it looks like there is at least some minor kind of anti dupe in place.

Enjoy.

What a pile of fail BDO is. I do not actually know how this game takes itself seriously. So I know I said no more Black Desert Online posts, but that was before I was given an account on Daum's EU servers.
The only catch was that I hack the living shit out of it, so here are my results.

First of all, most Russian hacks work, but not all of them. Daum's version of XIGNCODE3 is newer (or just different) than the one I encountered on the Russian version.
I could not bypass it using the tools I used on the Russian version, thankfully the Russian hacks that worked bypassed it for me.

Here are the hacks that I can confirm are working:
Unlimited HP, MP, remove all CD's and animations, "game" hacks - this means Amity and Bargaining, and of course the item hacks that allowed me to get all my gear in a day rather than a week. Sorry to all those that saw me get 2 Witch's Earrings in a span of minutes. I was doing it for science!

Next up, the max stats per level up hack still works. I was able to get top stats after three attempts at these Wizzy RNG stats. Lol yeah, that's right. This so called "competitive" game makes RNG determine your HP and MP per level. At level 58 (and this gap becomes larger the higher you are), this is HUNDREDS of HP and MP. A guildee has a character with 137 more HP and 193 more MP. Same level, class, and stats otherwise.
The screenshots I took were at level 4. Less than 5 minutes of gameplay on each character. This is VERY easy to test, so feel free to do so. Combine it with the fact that inventory slots are not family wide, and you are stuck with the character you picked instead of re-rolling if you used the cash shop. This is very game breaking. Since BDO does not normalize stats, it is a joke for competitive PvP.

I will keep hacking until I am banned, but it is not looking good for Daum. I have had multiple players PM me and tell me that I am reported over these last few days, and I am still playing.

Now I am playing on both the RU and EU versions trying to get banned. I have a feeling I am in for a lot of hacking.

MMOG Failshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15807077581599451436noreply@blogger.com28tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1234267260728698059.post-26534029596146224052016-04-27T06:53:00.000-07:002016-04-29T05:25:48.525-07:00Black Desert Online - the most hack filled, exploitable MMORPG on the market today.First of all, let me preface this by saying that being a (fairly)recent father of two, I do not have a lot of time to spend on gaming or checking my mmogfails E-mail. Now when I was getting less than 5 E-mails per week, it was manageable to check it once a month or so; however now my mailbox has over 1000 new e-mails, and I simply don't have the time to sort through them all, so this will probably be my last post for a while... At least about Black Desert Online.
I just have no passion for this game, but still ended up spending about 30 hours just messing around with with it simply because I felt obligated to expose yet another lazy developer.
I then spent another 5(ish) hours just sorting through E-mail and posting here. This led to me being quite burned out, and being a father in this state while also working a full time job is not something I am willing to do. The best part of this whole experience was meeting some amazing people, and learning a few new words in another language. Pizdets brati, vash yazik ochen tejoliy.

With that little rant out of the way, I would like to thank my Russian friends for showing me around their game, giving me the tools to help me hack it, and for very patiently teaching me to use them.
Thank you druzya!

IMPORTANT --- ALL OF THIS WAS DONE ON THE RUSSIAN SERVER --- IMPORTANT

Now, messing around with Cheat Engine and AutoHotkey required bypassing BDO's pathetic cheat "detection", XignCode. I was given a tool to bypass it, but eventually the hack we all used didn't even need it bypassed, since XignCode no longer detected it, or maybe it came with its own bypass.

Using just Cheat Engine I was able to remove all cooldowns (potions, skills, etc.), as well as eventually get higher points on that mini game where you talk to people. I never figured out what that was for, but I was told it opened up quests and such. Those were fairly easy to do, anything else required a lot more work that I did not really feel like doing because I already had multiple hacks to try out.

The following items can be hacked (at least in my testing).
Movement (speed, jumping, and the ability to fly upon jumping).
Cooldowns AND Animation Speed (allowing you to cast your hardest hitting ability up to 3 times per second. Sometimes more, but going over 3 caused me to crash a lot. You could also keep chugging potions if you wanted to).
Mini games (other than fishing). Self explanatory. Haggling and Talking could be "won" by pressing a key while engaged in it.
And, I am saving the best for last - TADA:
Mana AND Hit Points (yep, you read that right. It's game over for BDO. The trainer allowed me to freeze both at their maximum value, and while they went down upon using a skill or taking damage, they would instantly fill back up).

So there you have it folks. I have never, in all my life as a gamer seen an MMOG that is so easily hacked, and so full of hacks as Black Desert Online.

I exploited pretty hard, and I apologize to anyone I hurt. I will keep logging into the game and hacking, mostly in PvP. Dealing death from above as a flying Ranger with unlimited health and mana is somewhat fun. I want to see how long it takes them to ban me.

We managed to spot quite a few hackers in "remote" areas that are "hard" to reach (not really, since one can fly), and I was told some of them have been hacking for months.
Now I am not dealing with Daum, I am dealing with GameNet, so their actions may not reflect Daum's... Still, I want to see how much hacking I can get away with before being banned. I have a feeling they have no way of detecting hackers other than reports.

Once I am banned, I will have some fun videos for you all, HOWEVER I will have to edit them into short little snubs to only show my name, as I will never reveal the names of the people that I grouped with, became friends with, and got the hacking tools from.

With that, I am signing out.
Please don't submit any more BDO hacks/videos/materials to me. The game is a mess and I don't have the time to sort through it all. I apologize, but this is something I do for fun, and it has become a chore.
Give it a few weeks for this blog to cool down, and then feel free to submit issues about other MMOG's. I will be mass deleting all my E-mails in three weeks or so, so if you actually want to talk, post on the blog or E-mail me in 4 weeks.
Have fun,
This week I will be going on a hack filled exploration of Black Desert Online. Cheat Engine allows you to remove skill cool-downs.So here is something I did not know, BDO is actually a free to play game in Russia.

I have been contacted by a certain guild that offered to show me around, and even share one of their trainers/hacks. The only thing I had to do was make a Ranger character.

Now since the time difference is quite vast, I am not sure when we can really get together, but I will be trying to do it some time this week. They have been more than accommodating with their willingness to stay up, so thank you guys (and gal).

Yesterday I tested a VPN that allowed me to connect to the Russian version of the game, and after making my Ranger, I even managed to complete a few quests by following the prompts.

After some digging around, I found out that you can easily eliminate all cooldowns for your character. This is stupidly not server side, so all you do is search for the value in Cheat Engine and set it to 0 once it is found. Then feel free to spam said skill with no issue. I also got to play around with a hack that these guys have been using for a while, and it is a whopper. Pure game breaking potential, but I was asked not to reveal it until they tell me it would be OK. Should be soon, promise.

As always, if you have any fails for an MMOG, send them my way: <span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: "trebuchet ms" , "trebuchet" , "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 13.2px; line-height: 18.48px;">mmogfails@gmail.com
Stamina, cool downs, and mana are all client side.Glad I still check my e-mail, as I have had quite a few complaints about ArcheAge and Black Desert Online. I usually still get 2-3 e-mails per week, but this week I receiving 74 BDO cheat rleated e-mails, with 21 linking videos and trainers. The trainers for the Sorc and Wizard are listed on their YouTube page. None for the Ranger so far, but from what I am told all of this can be accomplished through a combination of Cheat Engine and packet editing.

No one was willing to share ArcheAge videos, but the BDO complaints have been flying in.

Here are three videos for you.

Ranger with unlimited mana, no cooldowns, and extra speed.

Sorceress with unlimited mana and no cooldowns.

Wizard with unlimited mana and no cooldowns. It is the same video as the Sorceress one, just fast forward to 9:27.

Now I don't really want to buy this MMORPG as I am not into Korean grinders, but if someone wants to donate an account, I will be more than happy take Cheat Engine to it and even try some packet editing.
Said account will most likely be banned, unless Daum is just a terrible, incompetent company, so take that into consideration before donating.
I even got an e-mail saying they were sorry.

The method I used is pretty simple.

I stated and reiterated that I did not dupe, hack, or do anything to violate the TOS, and told them that I was wrongfully banned.
I pointed out that a few of my guild friends have also been banned and unbanned, and made sure to point out that we did nothing but farm and trade for our loot.

I also pointed out these two sites: Reddit and Sam I Am's review of The Elder Scrolls Online on Amazon.
Specifically the post that pertains to people being banned for farming the Ondil Delve. It is on page 3 on the comments section of his review.

Expect more news from me soon. I have 7 new bugs and exploits to test, so stay tuned.MMOG Failshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15807077581599451436noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1234267260728698059.post-56678188218661115452014-04-23T05:45:00.001-07:002014-04-23T05:59:20.815-07:00Update and a few more possible exploits.I am still banned and trying to appeal. Tried another shot in the dark, lets see if it works.

In the meantime - everyone that sends me ESO bugs and exploits, please make sure to give me a link to a video. I have no other ways of verifying the issue at the moment.

Also, I am still getting a lot of hatemail - so if you have an actual exploit, please put it in the subject line. I simply don't feel like going through 100+ spam mails daily.

Now, on to a few more exploits. These may have been hot-fixed yesterday. As I said, I can not verify. I received proof of them in video form a few days ago. So they were working three (3) days ago.

1 - Unlimited Spidersilk and Ebonthread - Copy paste from an anonymous e-mail below:

DC side. Check this out. Go to the Bangkorai zone, and head over to Silaseli Ruins. Pick up the quest Conflicted Emotions from Zaag (in basement of Dragonstar Caravan Company).

Now head over to the south side of SR and check around for a Spidersilk and Ebonthread spawn. Now loot away. It respawns instantly. Gather and make money. Deconstruct it for more moola. Enjoy MMOG fails. Thanks for all your hard work. Check out my video for more info. Please keep my name out of this and don't link to my video. I dont want to get banned.

2 - The Ondil delve is giving out excellent loot, possibly due to a loot table screw up.

It seems like both the regular and veteran Ondil mobs are dropping massive amounts of Grand Soul Gems and other phenomenal loot. Farm it up while this is still happening.

Again... No, I am not kidding.Hot on the tail of the hireling chest mail dupe, I got another dupe tip.

A source that wishes to remain anonymous sent me a video showing how to once again effectively duplicate any item in the game. While not as simple as the gbank dupe, it is not too hard to reproduce. In fact I was able to duplicate multiple items without any issue.

This source asked me not to share any details of the dupe, but I am sure it will be leaking soon.

ZeniMax. I don't even know what to say anymore. Your incompetence is mind boggling.

Oh and to answer a question I am asked in every third e-mail - NO I am not banned yet, and YES I have duped quite a few things. Mostly stuff for PvP and my guild.

Got more fails to report? mmogfails@gmail.com.MMOG Failshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15807077581599451436noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1234267260728698059.post-72381884328748084142014-04-19T14:13:00.002-07:002014-04-19T14:18:59.291-07:00Another day, another Elder Scrolls Online dupe exploit.Seems like ZeniMax is only good at digging themselves into a a deeper grave.
First they failed to deal with their last dupe by actually acting on it, and now they also introduced a brand new one.

This one involves mail from hirelings.

Simple.

While logging into the game (at the loading screen), simply press Alt+F4, or Ctrl+Alt+Del and end task.
Feel free to keep doing this for a while.
Now log in and go check your mail. You will have quite a bit of mail from your hirelings.

Enjoy!
ZeniMax's incompetence shining through once more.Thank you to Sam and Mike for showing me this dupe in action.

I was asked NOT to post how to do this, but there is a very real dupe in Elder Scrolls Online. It is also extremely easy to pull off and I guarantee thousands have done it without malicious intent.

You can literally get unlimited money by doing this. You can basically dupe ANY item through clever use of your guild bank.

Although I have been sworn the secrecy, I can't help but laugh at ZeniMax's incompetence.

Is a rollback imminent? I don't think so - It is literally impossible, since the bug goes back to pre-beta status. Countless people have abused it to get rich.

That's right, the game was launched with knowledge of this bug!

Check these reddit threads for more info.

I can now officially classify the Elder Scrolls Online launch as being worse than the Neverwinter Online launch, making it the buggiest launch in MMOG history.

I have received countless flames and rants in English, Russian, AND Chinese. This has never happened before, and warrants a special post. The rage, tears, and complaints are yummy. Keep them coming.

Btw, ignoring or flaming me because the game is buggy, broken, and so easily hackable does not change anything. I always link to proof, and simply going off on me because you "beat everything" without "any problems" won't change the fact that these issues are very real.

Now, let me make some things very clear. I did NOT upload any bots or hacks to file sharing sites. I simply re-posted links that were e-mailed to me... After confirming that they work in game.
I did not steal them from your site. I did not hack into your guild web page, nor did I join your guild under false pretenses to get these files. The links were e-mailed to me. E-mailed to me by multiple people. I HAD NOTHING to do with them, other than re-posting the information I received.

To answer another question, no I have not been banned from TESO yet, although I did not abuse these trainers and bots. I just used them a few times to confirm they work. Please don't tell me that it's my fault you got banned because you were stupid enough to leave a bot going overnight, or ran around with super speed/teleport ulting everything you see.

With that out of the way, lets move on to some more issue the game is having.

First of all, the bank bug is still around and worse than ever. People have been losing everything. Slots, items, and countless hours of their time.

There is also a fairly uncommon issue that literally renders your character obsolete, causing you to lose everything.

Falling and swimming through the world is still common place.

Often the buffs from PvP and quests stick around for a while, even after you leave/log out.

There are many game breaking bugs in the game. I personally encountered two of them. That means that they prevent your character from progressing any further.
